At the invitation of the Consulate General of the United Mexican States in Guangzhou, Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Guangzhou Serhiy Chepurnyy attended a reception on 15 September 2026 marking the 216th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence.

The event was attended by representatives of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the diplomatic corps, business circles and the public. Yuan Baocheng, Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, delivered welcoming remarks.

During the reception, Serhiy Chepurnyy congratulated Daniel Dominguez Cantu, Acting Consul General of Mexico in Guangzhou, on Mexico’s national holiday and conveyed the best wishes of Serhii Kapuzo, Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou.

The Ukrainian Consul wished Mexico and the Mexican people peace, prosperity and continued success and expressed hope for the further development of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Mexico.

On the sidelines of the event, Serhiy Chepurnyy also held a number of working meetings with representatives of other diplomatic missions and fellow guests, during which current issues of international cooperation were discussed.
