On 1 March 2013 Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou Petro Nesteruk met with Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of the city of Zhuhai (Guangdong Province) Zhao Xuejun in the frame of establishing working relationships with the officials of the foreign affairs offices of the provinces and cities of the consular district.

They discussed ways of cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres and in the sphere of aircrafts producing.

In particular, Zhao Xuejun informed about increasing of the Ukrainian export to Zhuhai and also about willingness of Zhuhai entrepreneurs to expand their presence in Ukraine. He expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between Zhuhai and State enterprise "Construction Bureau" Antonov ".

 In addition, the Chinese official informed that every year an increasing number of residents of Zhuhai exercise trips abroad, so we can invite the Ukrainian travel agencies to Zhuhai to promote tourist routes in Ukraine.

Chinese officials invited Ukrainian athletes train in a subtropical climate in Zhuhai during winter in Ukraine.

The Chinese side also expressed the wish to establish sister city relationship between the cities of Zhuhai and an appropriate Ukrainian city.
