On 7 May 2026, at the invitation of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou, Piotr Nowotniak, Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Guangzhou Serhii Chepurnyi attended a solemn diplomatic reception held on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Poland — Poland’s May Third Constitution National Day.
During the event, the Ukrainian diplomat congratulated his Polish colleague on the national holiday and wished the Polish people and the Polish state success, sustainable development, peace, and inspiration. Serhii Chepurnyi conveyed warm greetings to Mr. Nowotniak from the Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou, Serhii Kapuzo, as well as sincere gratitude for his continued personal support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in their struggle against the aggressor to safeguard the freedom and independence of our state.
The Ukrainian and Polish diplomats discussed the global geopolitical situation, as well as the continued support for Ukraine by the Polish Government and the Polish people.
Conversations were also held with Consuls General and other representatives of diplomatic missions of Ukraine’s partner countries, during which various issues related to the domestic political and economic situation in the PRC, as well as the continuation of support for Ukraine, were discussed.
