On January 16, 2026, diplomats of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Guangzhou took part in a special ceremonial event organized by China Southern Airlines for the diplomatic corps accredited in Guangzhou.

During the event, heads of various departments of the airline presented to the diplomats the achievements and successes of China Southern Airlines in 2025, as well as the plans for 2026 and the near future.

Ukrainian diplomats showed particular interest in information regarding the cargo and logistics sector of the airline. After the official part of the event, meetings were held with the head of this department, during which the possibilities of cargo transportation for the needs of Ukraine were discussed.

In addition, the Consul General of Ukraine, Serhii Kapuzo, held separate discussions on various topics with the executives of China Southern, while Consul Serhii Chepurnyi met with the heads of key departments of the Chinese airline.

China Southern Airlines (中国南方航空公司) is headquartered in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, PRC. It is the largest airline in Asia by fleet size (1,004 aircraft), the largest air carrier in Asia, the 5th largest airline in the world by domestic passenger traffic, the 6th largest airline in the world by passenger traffic in terms of scheduled revenue passenger kilometers, and the largest airline in China by the number of passengers and cargo transported.
