On 28 January 2026, the Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou, Serhii Kapuzo, held a joint meeting with the Consul General of the State of Qatar in Guangzhou, Mr. Mansoor Ali Al-Hajri, and Mr. Li Yuyin, the owner of th Chinese business group Pengzhonghuang Food Group.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a joint cooperation project proposed by the head of the Chinese company, in particular an investment project in Ukraine that envisages the construction of livestock facilities, including the breeding and processing of poultry, lamb, and beef (in accordance with halal standards), for the subsequent export of meat and processed products to Qatar and other countries of the Persian Gulf. In addition to meat products, the Chinese businessman plans to cultivate and process other types of food products in Ukraine, which would be supplied to the domestic market and exported abroad.

Furthermore, the Chinese entrepreneur proposed that the head of the Qatari diplomatic mission involve business representatives from his country in specific joint projects in the People’s Republic of China, particularly in Guangdong and Gansu provinces.

The Consul General of Qatar expressed strong interest in the proposals presented and suggested holding additional meetings in the near future with the participation of Qatari companies and business representatives. He also expressed support for the Chinese entrepreneur’s plans to supply high-quality meat and other products from Ukraine to Qatar.
