On January 26, 2026, the Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou, Serhii Kapuzo, at the invitation of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, took part in the 5th Session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress.

During the official ceremony, the Chairman of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province (Governor), Mr. Meng Fanli, delivered a detailed report in which he outlined the development, successes, and achievements of the province in 2025, as well as the plans and main directions of Guangdong’s development in 2026.

The event was attended by 650 delegates and 65 representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Guangzhou, as well as members of the public and the press.

After the event, Serhii Kapuzo held separate meetings with the heads of diplomatic missions of various countries accredited in Guangzhou and with representatives of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province.
