On 25 September 2026, diplomats of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Guangzhou held talks at the diplomatic mission’s premises with representatives of three Chinese companies from Foshan interested in cooperating with Ukraine.
During their presentations, the Chinese business representatives briefed the diplomats on their companies’ activities. Their principal areas of operation include trade, construction and industrial manufacturing, particularly the production of glass, automotive glass, window structures, frames and construction components.
The company representatives stated that they had extensive experience exporting their products to countries in Africa, South America and Asia and were prepared to develop specific proposals outlining the terms of cooperation with Ukrainian partners.
The Chinese side also expressed its readiness to discuss possible investments in projects of its own in Ukraine following the end of hostilities. The companies are also prepared to send a delegation to Ukraine to examine the investment climate, security situation and legal framework, as well as to hold talks with representatives of Ukrainian public authorities and the private sector.
The Chinese private companies see considerable potential in the development of Ukraine’s construction and trade markets following the end of hostilities and are interested in participating in promising projects in these sectors.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a specific action plan for the further implementation of the proposals discussed. Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou Serhii Kapuzo invited the Chinese side to submit official letters to the Consulate General setting out its proposals and business plans for investment and the development of trade and economic partnerships.
