On 28 August 2026, Serhii Kapuzo, Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou, met with Mr Zhou Lei, Director of TBEA’s Representative Office in Guangdong Province.

During the meeting, the head of the Ukrainian consular mission discussed with the Chinese partner the possibility of manufacturing various types of transformers at TBEA Group’s factories in China to meet Ukraine’s needs.

The company’s representative proposed a joint visit to the headquarters and main production facilities of TBEA Southern Power Transmission and Distribution Industry Group (“TBEA Southern”), located in Hengyang, Hunan Province, within the consular district of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Guangzhou.

Mr Zhou Lei stated that TBEA Southern manufactures transformers for all voltage classes required by Ukraine: 750, 330, 220, 110, 35 and 10 kV. The company’s factories are equipped with modern, high-quality equipment and have testing laboratories for each type of transformer. The laboratories are certified to European standards. The company’s products compete successfully with those of well-known European manufacturers such as ABB and Siemens and are exported to countries around the world. The company also has experience supplying equipment to Ukraine.

To hold detailed talks on cooperation with Ukrainian partners and discuss opportunities for manufacturing and supplying TBEA Southern’s products to Ukraine, Consul General Serhii Kapuzo plans to visit Hunan Province in the near future and meet with the company’s management.
