During the event, the Ukrainian diplomat congratulated his Portuguese colleague on the national holiday and wished the Portuguese people and state peace, prosperity, sustainable development and continued success. Serhiy Chepurnyy also conveyed warm greetings from the Consul General of Ukraine in Guangzhou, Sergiy Kapuzo, and expressed sincere gratitude for Portugal’s consistent support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in the fight against Russian aggression.

In his remarks, the Consul General of Portugal separately mentioned the assistance provided by Portugal, as well as its contribution to the protection of Ukraine’s freedom, independence and territorial integrity.

During the conversation with the Portuguese diplomat, the parties discussed the current global geopolitical situation, Portugal’s support for Ukraine, as well as the importance of maintaining the unity of international partners in countering Russian aggression.

Conversations were also held with Consuls General and other representatives of diplomatic missions of Ukraine’s partner countries, during which certain issues related to the domestic political and economic situation in the PRC, as well as the continuation of international support for Ukraine, were discussed.
