On March 10, 2026, diplomats of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Guangzhou took part in the annual event of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China), during which a special report on the state of business, investment, and commercial activity in the southern region of the People’s Republic of China was presented. During the event, attendees were introduced to the analytical report titled “2026 Special Report on the State of Business in South China.”
The conference was attended by consuls general accredited in Guangzhou, representatives of the governments of the southern provinces of China, as well as executives and staff members of major international companies, corporations, and financial and banking institutions.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Consul General of the United States in Guangzhou, Ms. Paulina Kao.
A presentation was delivered by the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China, Dr. Harley Seyedin, who, following the event, answered questions from representatives of local and international media.
As a result of the event and discussions with representatives of official and business circles, the Consul General of Ukraine, Serhii Kapuzo, received detailed information regarding the trends and prospects for the development of the region’s economy, financial sector, and industry, and outlined promising areas for further cooperation between the southern region of the PRC and Ukrainian partners.
Separate meetings were held by Consul Serhii Chepurnyi with representatives of the economic sections of diplomatic missions and employees of companies from the United States, Hong Kong, and Macao that operate in the markets of the PRC and Southeast Asian countries.
